Some Good NEWS for Homeowners! All homeowners have had a line item probably somewhere in your Homeowners Insurance Bill which you might or might not have noticed. The F.H.C.F. (Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund assessment is going away!

All Homeowners policies have been carrying a 1.3% fee to replenish the funds for the state. The fee was due to end on July 1,2016. Governor Rick Scott and the  Florida Cabinet voted to move up the end date of the assessment to January 1, 2015.

All policies written after January 1, 2015 will no longer carry the FHCF Assesment Fee.
